Looks like the Vision harness updated with the construction of their Airnet sport harness. Hard to find climber reports on either this or the Airnet. Anyone heard about experiences with these? Only place I've seen it outside of BD promo is Aaron Mulkey's @coldfear instagram.

Genuine question, do you plan on buying it or are you just nerding out about gear?

Honestly I have no idea why anyone would buy this harness. A dedicated ice harness?

It's similar to the Petzl Sitta. Lightweight harness that could work for sport, ice, alpine. I've seen the Sitta used in all of these.

I’ve had the Airnet for a couple of years and love it for sport climbing and even some short multi-pitch routes. It’s relatively comfortable for such a lightweight piece, and you can hardly tell you’re wearing it. The Vision has full size rear gear loops, which will be helpful for ice.

I was curious about the RECCO reflector since I thought they were mostly just used resort skiing, but it turns out they have a helicopter SAR detector that scans 1km^2 in 6 minutes.

How did you guys find the durability of the Airnet and Vision harnesses? Is the wear on the waistband acceptable, and it doesn't look like the individual fibers will pop out any time soon? Does it seem like the tie-in points might wear out first (what I've found on my Solution Guide)? It's an ultralight harness and not expected to last forever, but I do wonder how the wear is trending.

I reviewed this harness when it came out, TLDR: 5 stars. I have the original Airnet and this adds some more durable face fabric, roomier gear loops, and roomier cut for those of us not on the comp circuit. For anything winter its my de facto choice, for rock routes as well if I'm going faster/lighter - its not as comfy for hanging belays of course but still shockingly so for the weight and size.

Wow thanks. Link to you review? Can't seem to find it googling. It seems like BD paused on this harness since it was announced in Aug 2022, and just went on sale in the last week.

Probably paywalled, sorry can't copy and paste but my previous summary pretty much covers it. I did everything from 5.13 sport to the Colton Leach on Huntington with it. It's dope if you aren't put off by the price tag.

On the roomier cut comment - a buddy of mine had the vision harness, and he found the legs to be so big that they would ride up and pinch the nether regions during a fall. He ended up taping the legs around the elastic to make them narrower I think - and he's not a featherweight. Does this new model fit similar to the Solution/Zone etc, or is it sized much bigger?

Definitely looks like an interesting harness - I wonder if it will take over the Zone as their do everything harness, or stay as a bit of a niche alpine/ice harness.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
