Yup, you got it. The trio of Storm King, Mt. Silex, and Guardian look amazing but the logistics and the fact that it's 6+ hrs away (9 including the 4wd drive in, if the internet is to be believed) make it a hard sell with so many other options closer to home.

No. After going through more old slides, I see that the summit is out of sight behind what is visible in this photo. I’ll look for an appropriate slide and scan it when I can. In the meantime, here’s a mountain in a different Peruvian range. It’s true summit is the point just left of and behind the prominent lefthand summit.
