Name that mountain

Dallin Careywrote: Matt Z got it first above |
Sorry, missed that. Go ahead |
No problem. Skyler already posted one, roll with that and keep it going. |

Sam Beeduhlwrote: Yup. |
Chair peak maybe? Haven't seen it from that angle before |
Eric Roewrote: Further north. North of hwy 542. |
Skyler Mavorwrote: Goat Mountain (east and west)... Is that Nooksack Tower in the background? |
Sam Beeduhlwrote: You got it Sam. Yeah, shuksan and nooksack tower peeking above the ridge. Photo taken from near the Winchester lookout. |
Whoops, sorry everyone. Took a while to check back on this... Peak in the foreground... well known range, lesser known peak... |
East Prong? |
Dallin Careywrote: Yep |
Prominent peak in the center. I might be pushing it with this one. I took the photo and even I don't know the name of it. As such I'll accept the name of the very popular peak that is just out of view to the left, or the name of the peak on the right. |
can you tell me if the peak is in WY? |
curt86irocwrote: It is not in Wyoming. |
My guess is Idaho. Lost river range. Don’t know the peak tho…but I know what’s to the left! |
Correct on the state, range, and probably what's to the left Jon! |
Ok, Borah is to the left. Can't find the name of the peak you are looking for on any maps tho. |
Yep. I've heard it referred to as "Borah Buttress" or "Mountaineer Peak" (even though the LRR already has a Mountaineer Peak) but I have yet to find any official name for it. Several years ago a couple guys went back there with about 80 bolts intent on putting up a huge sport multi pitch but the weather turned them around before they even got to the base. |

So those fellas never went back to complete the mission?!?! Up next, name the mountain with the large face in shadow facing left. |
