Right against the base of the Switchbacks area of the West Face. WTF is wrong with you? Go back and clean up your butt wipes and barely concealed, fly-covered mess.

"WTF is wrong with you?"

At the base of the Sunshine Face:

On the exposed ledge above the Buttress of Cracks:

WTF is wrong with you?

Indeed.

well, i sure am glad the climbing world is making a big effort to invite everybody out to nature's latrine...

Invite the world out, they said. How else can they learn to love and protect nature and our incredible endowment of public land, they challenged.

I see the results. It is not pretty. Todays' climbers are trampling the commons and being pretty goddamned preachy about it too.

Last Sunday was the first time I’d been out there this season since moving away. We got an early start (6am, not that early) and by the time we were descending there was a steady stream of people hiking up the lunch rock trail. Seems like the amount of ppl getting out has doubled since last year

Climb on a weekday or climb on the north side.

Human Fright. The Vampire is an end of season project. Personally I’d just avoid Tahquitz all together, the backcountry is the way

“Weekdays, backcountry, etc”

You keep talking like that, and those strategies won’t work, either…

I climbed The Trough on the 15th and I saw a page from the guidebook torn out stuffed under a rock. I grabbed a corner because I thought it was trash, but as soon as I moved it I could smell the shit and see brown all over the paper. So somebody shit on the Trough and wiped with a page from the Best Routes Tahquitz/Suicide book.

Hear me out. If there's more poop, maybe more people will bail and take up other sports instead? Maybe more poop is the answer

I dunno. Doesn’t seem to be turning away campers and hikers in the area….

And on and on and on it goes…

Yes, the backcountry is too crowded as is. Stay on Tahquitz, better climbing anyway. The Idy invasion is upon us

Under $3 apiece.  Sit frame is not needed.  Don't leave home without one.

Just takes some care to not spill out the absorbant.

I'm fully aware this may be inaccurate, but California by far has the most toilet paper flowers I've ever seen in the outdoors. I've lived in and regularly explored trails and climbing areas of California, Colorado, North Carolina, New Mexico, and BC. Haven't seen nearly the amount of toilet paper elsewhere. Is that just me, or is there something up with the Californians?? Not trying to start something, just my observation.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
