Lovers Leap - thanks for stretcher ride

Broke my heel yesterday at Lover’s Leap. Thanks to all the climbers giving me a stretcher ride. Was leading The Line and fell on the last roof move. We figured out a way down via a pendulum to a set of chains, then a few raps. Very grateful to everyone! See you in 3 months! |

HotDogWater Kellywrote: Were you carried out with Royalty like the Gumby Queen was? Two strapping young men crossing arms, making a throne to carry the Queen down the Pony Express Trail? Edit: to whoever put the stretcher on-site my hats off to you. Thanks. |

Petchwrote: How can I send you a beer? Thanks! I always hitup the station when I'm in the area. |

Gumby Kingwrote: No beer necessary, but thanks! Just spread the word/hire/recommend Lover’s Leap Guides! |

Petchwrote: Shout out to Petch and the LL Guides... hired him to take me and my gf up Bear's reach a summer or two ago. I somehow forgot to bring myself a harness so Petch gave me his and tied in with slings around his waist. :) That last pitch of The Line was my first lead back in 1990. Fond memories. |

+1 on the Petch shout outs. I called The Station and Petch was there and informed us of the Stretcher location (@ the HayStack trailhead) Having made that hike out injured, it was a real blessing to take the load off of HotDogWater's injury. Can't thank you all enough. No family like climbing family. Word got around so fast... that a driver was even waiting at the camp gate. Thank you to all whom pitched in. |
