With a 6-step ladder you can go shoulder to shoulder with your buddies and speed up pooping efficiency immensely!

I saw a couple notes and questions upthread about binding attachments and starter machines. I've had a Juki DU-1181N for 15 years and it's been flawless. Bought it new and has only needed one $200 tune up since. My machine is a walking foot, which means it has two feed mechanisms, the top foot, and the normal feed dogs underneath. It will sew anything from thin nylon to leather, though it is unhappy with two layers of full grain cowhide.

If I was to buy it again, I'd get a triple feed machine. Look it up on YouTube.

The Sailrite is great and has many fans. It can do zig-zag, which my Juki cannot do.  I did buy the Sailrite binding attachment and it is amazing!

I exploded my old Bibler Eldorado in 85 mph winds at Jtree in February. I decided to make a new tent out of haul bag material. This time, if it launches, it will be the gotcha bushes that get torn up, not my tent.

I had no pattern, though I did find an old photo of the famous Early Winters Omnipotent from 1980. So it's a cross between a Bibler and the "O" tent. Obviously, this is designed for extreme car camping only, not backpacking.

Made another caving harness. This one with the gear loops better positioned, and with aquaseal coating all the stitching for abrasion protection.

18ga vinyl would have been overkill, but you used 40oz?!

You could have made it into an extra, extra large Gamow bag and sold it for quite a lot. I think you missed a real opportunity there.

I'm looking for two alpha direct hoodies. One in 60gsm and one in 90gsm with a full two way zipper(harness friendly) and thumbholes.

i know there's a few companies who makes them, but never sawy anyone making with a full zipper, hence the need for a custom order.

You can probably buy the jacket you want off-the-shelf, find a nice YKK zipper that meets your needs, and then bring to any local seamstress/tailor who can do the zipper swap for a reasonable fee. I've gotten some good deals on jackets with broken zips and done the zipper swap myself (its plenty strong, but my ascetics leave a lot to be desired). This of course assumes that the jacket you want exists with everything except the two way zip.

35L backpack with a rope strap, removable brain, removable hip belt, gear loops, and internal plastic frame. Weighs in at 3 lbs, 3 oz which is a little heavy, but that’s probably because I used Bluewater tubular 1” webbing everywhere haha. Definitely excited to put this thing to use.

Free down jacket for anyone who wants to replace the main zipper.  Ladies small.  Needs a bit of mending at hem where draw cord exits.  Ripstop is a little hammered on chest and collar, but not torn.  You pay shipping $10-15.

I did a zipper replacement on a (synthetic) puffy that was surprisingly easy (just seam rip out the old zipper and sew the new one in the same place). One trick I've seen folks do for a faster zipper repair is to cut off the teeth (so the tape is still there) and then sew the new zipper to the remaining tape (that way you don't have to open up all the down baffles). 

Two bags for some friends. The first one is a super simple sack with just two main seams, one along the bottom and one up the side. I tripped stitched those both in hopes of making it last forever.

The blue bag is a crag bag style with “yardsale mode”. All seams triple stitched, and upsized to a Lenzip #12 for the main body. It’s not trivial to actuate the zipper, but it’s confidence inspiring that it might last a while. It should be easy to swap the zipper out of needed.

I started getting “Barry compliant” buckles, which appear to be really burly.

Hopefully these last a while, durability is driving the designs.

One of the gyms replaced the mat covers and a friend (who I met via this thread) had collected tons of the material and kindly gave me some.
