Curious as to how you came by this knowledge. Sometimes a “why” is helpful to understand the entire context. And I’m just curious as well. Maybe you’ve seen this cam in person. Are you an industrial engineer? Legitimately curious because of my own set of cams.

As you see in the picture, just one of the lobes has limited expansion. This typically means there is a problem with the springs connection to that lobe or the lobe has been bent out of shape because of some sort of trauma. If you have questions about any of your specific cams make a warranty claim on BDs website and I can reach out to you in a more official capacity. Hope that helps!
