Seems like both parties could have done better in terms of communication, attention to detail and patience.  Having a short fuse because you begrudgingly over paid for luxury goods isn't cool.  Not responding to a buyer for several days and then sending them the wrong item is even less cool.  Both not cool though. Hug it out.

Yea but buyer has been pretty  agro since the get go, he is just upset he over paid. While the seller might have been lazy it was not obviously malicious, and he offered several very reasonable options via pay pal(taking his word for that)

Which begs the question, is the buyer the one tryin to scam here? Almost seems his intent from the start

Lol, obviously a troll, but I'll bite:

1.) I have probably over 100 pleasant buying/selling experiences on MP.  Never one complaint.

2.) My patience for the seller was extensive, however, you wouldn't know one way or the other, as you don't have access to the 11-day email thread wherein I am not responded to for days at a time, and I politely excuse the seller's multiple shipping delays and lack of tracking for a $450 package. To say I was "agro from the get go" is impossible for you, because you didn't see our interactions from the get go.  You saw only the escalated communication on the public forum following the frustrating events of the prior 11 days.

3.) I don't feel I overpaid for the items pictured in the ad.  I paid full asking price as that is what the cams in the picutre in new, unused, perfect condition were worth to me.

4.) I received a different (older/more used/non-matching) item than was pictured, so pretty rude and ignorant of you to accuse me of trying to scam someone based on an event that was entirely within the seller's power to control.  All he had to do was send me the cams he said he was selling.  If I was really a POS and trying to scam Parker, I would have just said the cams were never delivered.  Because Parker did not pay $3 to track his shipment worth $450 (very ill advised) and thus had no proof of delivery, PayPal would have automatically ruled in my favor for the full amount of the purchase and I could have kept the cams and my money... I didn't do this because like I said, I'm a straight up guy who believes in integrity and honesty in all business dealings.  I requested only a refund I felt was commensurate with the discrepancy of the condition of the cams I received.

There's your bucket of fish heads for the day, troll!

Just to keep everyone in the loop..Thursday, at his request, I sent $50 back to him in a separate transaction hoping for some appeasement. Probably shouldn’t have but not a big deal.

He has not responded to me since I did that and the Paypal dispute is still open.

My current take on the transaction is

-$50.00 ‘refund’ payment, though it is still pending due to PayPal sending as e-check due to negative balance.

$436.50 hold on my PayPal account,  (his $450 payment minus fees)

- one set of cams

Sort of ironic after whining about me not responding for a day or so.

We spoke the day you sent the (still pending) $50 refund and discussed how the case would not get closed until the refund clears and that PayPal was looking into the issue of you not being able to fund.  They are reviewing the case and have been informed of our agreement for resolution.  This all takes several days, and PayPal is still reviewing.  All of this is in email, and any info regarding the case and it's status are available to both of us via PayPal.

Honestly man, the matter is done for me, and I'm gonna stop clogging up the forum with this BS.  We agreed to a resolution, and PayPal is working out the details in a manner safe for both of us.

Well, at least the grey isn't destined for a museum by the buyer.

Buddy couldn’t even wait for this to settle down before he flipped the cam for a profit.  Why I’ve been #teamparker since this dropped

I wouldn't describe paying $90 for a cam and then selling it for $100 shipped a profitable transaction.
