Hey all! My husband and I recently got into indoor top rope climbing and want to venture outdoors... any recommendations for finding a guide and dependable equipment?! |

Hire an AMGA guide. They will discuss gear with you and teach you the basics. |

|
Don't buy your gear on Amazon, there are too many counterfeit items out there. |

Join your local facebook rock climbing group an ask for recommendations They see ALOT more local traffic than these forums |

^^^ "ganat," What do you think of bots? Do bots have feelings? Are they unionized? Is your master kind to you? |

college outdoor programs are goldmines of easily accessed expertise. but I've beat that horse to death in other threads, so I won't repeat here. just go check out your local college(s). -Haireball |

New to the forum and this is my first post within Mountain Project. Looking to partner up in the CO Front Range area, here's my story: Old newbie with a strong burning desire to climb outdoors. Looking to partner up with people who are patient and have more experience. I have an intro course under my belt which served as a catalyst for me to get outdoors in the Front Range of CO and build my skillset. I own the very basic gear-shoes, harness, belay device and locking biner. Looking to top rope N Table or anything nearby in the easy range. If you have a spot for someone like me please let me know. I have Sunday - Tuesday off from work. |
