I have bouldered at McConnells Mill SP before. I had no problems with access. I parked on Rim Road less than 100 ft. from the Birthday boulder. This was summer 2020, not sure if things have changed since then. It's a cool spot!

There’s tons of parking at McConnell’s Mill in a few different areas. There’s a guidebook by Bob Value that’s extremely helpful and can be purchased at Ascend and probably a few other places around pgh. There are some really stiff old problems out there but they are well worth it and don’t see enough ascents these days!
McConnells would get more response from Southern States forum. It's a Pittsburgh area and Pittsburgh climbers tend to go south.

McConnells mill is sweet. Values guidebook is well written and lays out the area well. I got the book offline directly from the publisher. The cabins/campground off Cheesman rd is a good place to stay if you’re going to be there more than a day. Easy trip to Pittsburgh for evening fun.
