Can you identify this Mammut Jacket?

Got this jacket used on here a couple of years ago. It was pretty well beat and didn’t last me all that long, but I really wish it did. The previous owner never told me a model name, and I never thought to ask. The tag had already been ripped out, so I don’t have the numbers from that either. I reached out to Mammut with the pictures, and they told me that without the tag numbers nobody in their shop can identify it. I’ve done seem pretty serious searching and haven’t been able to find a match. When I got it in 2020, it was well worn so I imagine it was at least 3-5 years old. Fleece inside, different material on the sides for breath ability. Hood had a visor and cinches. Pockets sat high on the stomach to stay above a harness. If anybody has any ideas or leads, I will gladly buy a coffee for whoever gets me to another one of these jackets. |

Could it be the Norwand HS Flex? This one from 2018 looks very similar. |

The setup does look similar, but the jacket I had was definitely Softshell (almost a knitted material?) with fleece on the inside. Definitely no goretex/Hardshell involved. |

Hey! I gave you this jacket! I loved it but the zippers were too annoying so it had to go. How'd you fix them? Or like you said it didn't last so you had to let it go too? To stay on track I never knew the model and still don't. |

Email Mammut perhaps? They're very responsive. |

Jake woowrote: I tried to find the original post but couldn’t! Eventually I got the zippers to work about every other attempt, and that was good enough for me. Bummed you don’t know the name either, haha. |

Guilty as charged. |

I think this is the Mammut Laser softshell. The pictures here look pretty much identical to what you've got. |

Rub some Chap Stick on the zipper teeth. |

Gunkiemikewrote: ChapStick is sticky and will attract dirt. Use pure paraffin. It can be found at the grocery store with the home caning supplies. |

For clarity, the zipper issue wasn’t sticking, but constant misalignment/separation. The jacket was also delaminating in multiple places and was just at the end of its life in general. |

A separating zipper is usually an easy fix with a set of pliers. Posting this link in case it helps until you can find a new jacket. https://www.backpacker.com/skills/gear-repair/how-to-fix-a-zipper-that-separates/ |

If you can't find one, have a look at the Ortovox Westalpen Softshell. It's lined with heavy wool so maybe not quite as warm, but I'd guess pretty close. Otherwise it's the same idea, it's super stretchy and cut for climbing, similar high pockets. |
