Glue-in bolts with wet holes.

Curious if there is a suggestion for the best type of glue to use with wet holes.

Im in the process of rebolting a route that has seeping out of the bolt holes.

I've used AC100 Gold in the past, but am open to other options. According to DeWalt it's ok to use AC100 with wet holes. Is there any advantage with using AC200 or Pure110+ ??

Also open to other options.

Here are the bolts that I'm planning on replacing. I already pulled one of them, and the bolt seemed to be fine. The color of the seepage doesn't inspire confidence.

Thanks,

Luke

Any vinyester resin rated for underwater/wet holes. The biggest hassle is cleaning the holes as it's not dust but sludge so take a squeezy bottle with tube and wash them clean.

The red head A7+ is rated for wet holes.

I guess you have ready made slurry for spinning the bolts!

I have always used ac100 and rinsed the sludge out of holes as Jim recommended above with good results, the bolts stopped being the main seep point after being replaced with glueins also.

Thanks for the help y'all!

I'll get a good cleaning setup for getting the gunk out of the holes.

3g epoxy is super strong and will set up under water. It's less viscous than other suggestions here, so it might be messy if it's overhung.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.

Fixed Hardware: Bolts & Anchors
