I’ve always used small backpack worn on the front with the pad stack on the back. Does anyone have experience with a sling type pack used the same way? |

Yea I just use a cheap REI Flash pack worn on the front, or stuffed into my pads taco style when I can get away with it. It’s enough to carry 2 liters of water, 2 pairs of shoes, chalk bag, snacks, etc. |

I'll go ahead and be the guy that chimes in for the Ikea storage bag. Cheap ($5), surprisingly durable, lightweight, smashes nicely in a pad. The best part is that it's 20 gallons. No need to pack it, just throw your stuff in. Zips wide open for easy access. Can be used for a lot of other things in life as well. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/frakta-storage-bag-for-cart-blue-90149148/ |

As I mentioned above, it smashes nicely in a pad. It's large enough that my stuff can be spread out in a thin layer allowing the pad to fully close. I've also had success strapping it on top when carrying multiple pads. |

Just a backpack on the front. In mountain biking we try and experiment our way to not wearing a backpack, but then we end up just dehydrating and starving ourselves lol. |

Bryan Swrote: i use pads on the back and a messenger bag up front. i feel it wears better than a backpack on front and doesn’t hang down as low |
