'On Ice' film

I keep hearing mention of this 90s/early 2000's film called "On Ice". Googling it is not super helpful. Anyone know if and where this can be viewed? Thanks! |

Pat Marrinanwrote: Sure, Disney did most of them, there was Into the Magic, Mickey and Friends, a few Frozen variations, Worlds of Enchantment, etc... but they never did the Stone Masters on Ice, or even some older retro ideas. I mean Harding on Ice... I would pay big time to see that. Unless you mean this old true gem of cinematic excellence? Pat has presented MP a challenge.... |

It’s a classic Pat! And always remember, “Winter comes early to the high country”. |

ImDB says there was a 2002 film titled "Fire on Ice" about ice climbing in Norway. Couldn't find a video though |

If I remember correctly North Face sponsored a film called "On Ice" way back when, in VHS. |

LL Binerwrote: "Way back when"????? Hell, it was only 1995. Jeez. |

Skibowrote: Yet if someone were born 5 years later, they would be getting out of college about now, so for them, yeah, "way back when". |

I had that one on VHS it was/is awesome for the time period. I’ve never seen it in any other format. “Can you move a little to the right” |

Interesting LA Times story mentioning this film: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1997-03-30-mn-43657-story.html I’d like to see this also! Try contacting Scott Ayers, the director, who has climbed a lot at Cochise. |

Skibowrote: I'm not sure, but I might have a copy somewhere. If someone was willing to put it on DVD, I'd be willing to mail it to them. Again, I might have it around. |

I still have my VHS copy. There is a classic moment in it. I can't remember the climbers involved, but the leaders is raining ice chunks down on his belayer, who in a very plainitive voice says, "Can you move a little to the right, please?" |

C Hwrote: Could you digitize it? If not I'd be willing to make it happen |

I would be interested in that Dallen |

Request: When you record it, please film yourself watching it (mystery science theater style) with your head covering the right half of the screen so we can say..."Can you move a little to the right, please?" |

Would definitely buy a copy if it could be digitized |
|
|
Would also buy a copy |
