I keep hearing mention of this 90s/early 2000's film called "On Ice". Googling it is not super helpful. Anyone know if and where this can be viewed? Thanks!

Sure, Disney did most of them, there was Into the Magic, Mickey and Friends, a few Frozen variations, Worlds of Enchantment, etc... but they never did the Stone Masters on Ice, or even some older retro ideas. I mean Harding on Ice... I would pay big time to see that.

Unless you mean this old true gem of cinematic excellence?

ImDB says there was a 2002 film titled "Fire on Ice" about ice climbing in Norway. Couldn't find a video though

If I remember correctly North Face sponsored a film called "On Ice" way back when, in VHS.

Yet if someone were born 5 years later, they would be getting out of college about now, so for them, yeah, "way back when".

Interesting LA Times story mentioning this film:

I’d like to see this also!

Try contacting Scott Ayers, the director, who has climbed a lot at Cochise.

I'm not sure, but I might have a copy somewhere.

If someone was willing to put it on DVD, I'd be willing to mail it to them.

Again, I might have it around.

Oh man.... that tape crinkle on the left might leave some of that nostalgic VHS look. Be kind, rewind.

I still have my VHS copy. There is a classic moment in it. I can't remember the climbers involved, but the leaders is raining ice chunks down on his belayer, who in a very plainitive voice says, "Can you move a little to the right, please?"

Could you digitize it? If not I'd be willing to make it happen

Request: When you record it, please film yourself watching it (mystery science theater style) with your head covering the right half of the screen so we can say..."Can you move a little to the right, please?"

Would definitely buy a copy if it could be digitized
