4/26 Mescalito/Dark Shadows Search and Rescue

Tuesday 4/26 the SAR chopper dropped a couple people off on Mescalito, near the top of Dark Shadows. Anyone know what happened up there. I’m pretty sure at least 3 parties when to the top that day.

Not confirming nor denying a rescue scenario but LVMPD sar is top notch and to stay that way they do a lot of training. Possible they were practicing.

I’d also assume training as they were out there Wednesday as well doing the same thing near jet stream wall and were clearly also practicing other skills. Kind of wish they would pick practice locations that are further away from popular multipitch walls as the helicopter made communication impossible many times throughout both days.

In all seriousness, glad everyone is ok (according to the register report. It was pretty freaky finding that amount of blood all over that ledge.
