All righty, my pretties, OLH has a fresh bit of gear porn to get ya going!

NEWLY ADDED!

I'm willing to go $95 on #5, $105 on the #6, price INCLUDES SHIPPING!

^^^that is all that's left of all the original sales! Same prices as Fritzy listed above. I'll eat the shipping, in addition to what I'm already eating on this.

I'm on Paypal, pm on here, and I'll get you taken care of, in the absence of The Gote.

Bump to repost what is left, plus those 2 big beauties I grabbed.

I was at the store this morning, the climbing stuff at least, is largely gone, hard goods anyway. Still lots of carabiners, soft goods, and a few odds and ends. Pulleys, tiblocs, Alpine Up and Jul (sorry, don't remember which) belay devices, plus old used stuff, if anyone needs a figure 8 or plain old tube, lol!

If anything I listed is of interest to anyone, let me know and I'll "shop" for you on Thursday, when he's open again.

Fritz said 5 days, so if Thursday was when he launched, he should surface tomorrow or so, hopefully.

Thanks, all. It's a drop in the bucket in the big scheme of things, but this actual cash in hand has cheered the store owner greatly. It's a tough thing, and he is very heartened by the larger community's support out there.

In a cruel twist?

It's snowing in Boise today. Snow in the forecast all week. If this happened in February, instead of (very freakishly) in April? This whole story might have been different. Oh well. Idaho is certainly not the only place going into yet another drought year.

I'm at the decision point right now, for my little patch of land, which gets irrigation from a canal. Do I plant? How much, and what's worth it? Knowing the water season will likely end in August, just when the summer goods really get rolling??

I'll probably choose hope and optimism, and plant anyway.

Knowing I'll be buying City water this year.

I can't even imagine what my farming friends are going through right now.

Best, Helen

Bulletproof draws SOLD.

I'll be going by the store when they open on Thursday, if anyone wants any of the stuff they still have.

PICS ARE FROM LAST WEEK, so don't expect any cams, and I think the bulletproof draws are gone, but I'm not sure. The 2 nut sets are available, I already bought them. Most of the rest was still there yesterday

Let me know if you have a wish list! The prices are 20% of his retail, now, plus I will eat sales tax and shipping!

I'll post updated store pics on Thursday, that gives you peeps Thursday to Sunday that I can personal shop for you!

Best, Helen

Plus I’m close to Yosemite and need the “help”.

Did you see anything in those pics that looks like anything you want? I'm clueless on aid gear.

James, I'll root through the juls and see what they got!

At the p.o. now, so a couple of you will have stuff shortly!

Thanks, Helen! One of the most rewarding and challenging experiences I've ever had outdoors.

I wish Steve Price were here to read it...

SHOPPING LIST FOR THURSDAY (all at retail minus 20%, and I will eat shipping and sales tax)

  • (1) Alpine Up
  • (1) Gigajul
  • Edelrid bulletproof draws (if any left)
  • Slings and cord (let me know just what you want, Joseph Chen), 2 bulletproof biners

Anybody else? I'll post pics tomorrow, and I'm willing to go back anytime before they close for the week on Sunday.

And please, don't send low ball offers on this stuff. I'm taking a pretty hefty hit here, for kindness sake, and expect the same from all of you, too, kindness, I mean. Or not. That's fine, don't participate. But, if I decide, emphasis on "I", (okay, gote too) if I decide to lose even more on this stuff, I'm the one who will figure out nice ways to do so.

I still miss Steve Price. Gote misses him too.

Be Kind. Always.
