Best chalk bag for sending hard trad?

Must be big enough to hold a can of beer and leave room for your hand to get to the chalk.

I do indeed!  The normal size zippered bag ($20) will accept a 6" phone, but I can make a bag large enough for a 7.25" phone. All you have to do is ask.

And if the Crown Royal motif isn't your cup of, er, whiskey, I can make a plain black bag for a few bucks more.

How much for the bag that holds phablets?

Let's say $24. PM me the dimensions you need.

I've had several chalk bags from BD and Metolius be too small to fit my whole hand in to which is really annoying lots of times.  I got the DMM Trad chalk bag to accommodate this and it is awesome.  Love it and will get a new one whenever I need to replace it.

The Dead Birb Aperture actually closes which I like. I got mine on sale as like most things from the brand, it’s way too spendy for what you get.

I'm not a gumbie, I've got a separate insulated bag for that.

Anyone experience the mammut multipitch chalk bag? I always wanted to try them but no spend 49 dollars.

They are on clearance on REI webaite for $10.74 (75% off)and free ship to local store.

I'm currently using a discontinued north face chalk bag, it has the best designed closure system I have ever used, a mini roll top closure.  I have never seen this type of closure system for a Normal size chalk bag and it works so amazing for not getting chalk everywhere!! I never have had chalk leak.

I’ll try to find a picture

The key is to get a chalk bag with a small zippered pocket on the side. That's where you'll need to store your lucky penny, which as you undoubtedly know, is crucial for sending hard trad.

I just hold it in the crevasse to remember to maintain body tension

The DMM bags are great for my thick mitts

What really matters is that you hot glue some googly eyes onto it and give it a name. You’ll be glad to have a friendly face to talk to when you start losing your shit on lead.

Now that I've gotten your click with an obvious bait title, I'm well aware chalk bags are a matter of personal preference.  That said I'm in the market for a new one and if anyone would like to shill for their personal favorite I will now entertain opinions.  My only notes on my current Organic bag are that I like that it is somewhat rigid, but don't like that it doesn't seal shut all that well.

Organic bag with a ziploc….there now you don’t have to buy a new chalk bag or create forum threads worse than Trevor’s

To be fair, you’re the one who bumped it…

I’m bored, my implication that this was a bad thread was misleading. I actually enjoy these kind of threads. It’s like a train wreck you can’t stop watching or The Climb (I actually couldn’t finish this example, but you get the point). You just get sucked in

The mammut basic is nice. I also have the freerider bag and they are very comparable

While this is revived, anyone have an update on Tufa Climbing? Everything is sold out on the website, but it is still active, which gives me hope for the future?

How large is your phone?  I keep upgrading phones and they just get bigger and bigger and no longer fit in my Mammut Multipitch.  My current phone is just shy of 7"x3.5" with a case.

At a certain point, though, you'll just be able to climb your phone and forget about the rocks.

I had to downgrade from a 16 ounce can of beer to 12 ounce to be able to fit my new phone in with it.

Sounds like it’s time for a new, new phone
