Arkansas in May

Will it be too hot in May? Will HCR or the areas around Cowell be crowded or dead?  I'm looking to boulder and climb routes at HCR and around Cowell.  Don't mind bouldering solo but wondering what the scene is like then.  Thanks

It'll probably be nice. Unless it's not. Spring in the midwest can be a little hit or miss I'm sad to say :(.

it will be badass. HCR is nice during May. There might be a tick or two, but nothing crazy and there will be plenty of people to meet. enjoy

Agree with the others, it can be really nice or it can be stormy and a little buggy.  Thankfully the vegetation is still pretty sparse that early in the year so the walls will be easy to get to, not that it's terrible late in the year at HCR.  Depending on which areas in Cowell it's never that crowded there and Candy Mountain is one of the prettiest crags in the entire state IMHO.
