Gannett Peak - Aug 2022

Anyone out there looking to take a stab at Gannett Peak the end of August 2022? Have found the last week and a half to be most hospitable in the range. Would like to come in from Glacier Trail, then break off to hit the High-Route at Goat Flat, over to Downs, then follow CDT hitting the glaciers along the way.  Looking for a team to join/make.

Now that is cold! 

Over the last few years (i.e. glacial recession), end of August is becoming a worse time to attempt Gannett. I would say bump up your trip dates to end of July/early August. Hope this helps.

The bergshrund is usually open by then and the couloir turns into a bowling ally. I agree that July is better. Might be interested. Feel free to reach out when it gets closer.
