That's really unfortunate. The permit request (and their property line) runs nearly to the Millcreek ridgeline and encompasses the entire drainage west of the Mt. Aire subdivision. Thanks for the share. Signed.
I have not looked at the quarry in depth, but based on past experience pretty sure the fight will be at the County Commission level as that is were land use planning happens on private land. A conditional use permit will be required. However, in general such permits must be issued unless the use is specifically not permitted.
Bump for the new website link. The fight continues and any residents of SLC should be paying attention to this because it could have a large impact to the community on multiple fronts.
