Hi all! Making a trip out for Thanksgiving and wanted to climb some at Smith Rock. We're looking for a guide to take us (2 people) out and maybe try a multi pitch for a day. Does anybody have suggestions or experiences with a guide service there?

I highly recommend Max.  Great teacher, climber, and person.  Super knowledgeable about the park and all things climbing.

I'll second Tyler. Max is an excellent climber with an incredible wealth of experience to share. Whether your goal is simply to send your objective or to grow as a climber Max can help you do it.

We did smith rock climbing guides and had a great experience. Full day of climbing and the guide just jumped right into it. Learned a lot for safety with multi pitching then did another day with them to learn trad. I believe Ky was our guide (not sure on spelling) but he was great!

Thanks everybody for the suggestions! We're going to go with Max--super psyched to have a day out with him! Keep on sending!

In case your plan falls through or anyone else is looking for suggestions, a recent Piolet d'Or winner guides at Smith.  Chris Wright.  Nice guy.
