Well, I honestly see them as different pieces all together. The ME and Houdini are both super packable and small, so they are nice for on-route storms, etc. The main difference between the two is that the ME has more stretch which is nice, but that also means it will probably compromise on waterproofness. Of all the layers by far my favorite is the OR Anorak. The material is awesome, it fits great, and its beefy enough to handle some stormy weather - I have two so I certainly didn't need this one.
