I'll be in the general Moab area and heard about the climbing on Wall Street. I'm just starting to get my feet wet (sandy?) outdoors sport climbing after 5+ years in the gym. Trying to get on some more moderate stuff in the 5.9 area, but happy to belay harder. Offering snacks and those soft catches :-)

Just send me a message.

Welcome to the great outdoors! Here's some info that'll help you make the transition to climbing in the desert!

Wall Street is a spectacular place to learn how to sport climb outdoors. The one caveat is that it tends to stay wet for longer because it's slabby and that formation of sandstone is very porous.

Thanks for the info! I guess that makes it "want to climb tomorrow?" since I see rain in the forecast for Tuesday.. Do you know if Wall St is currently climbable?

You're welcome; thanks for being receptive! Why not go check it out and use your new knowledge to assess?

Ha, I actually did, dropped by, saw some darker spots on some bases but lots of people out. Figured they knew more than I do.

Ice cream parlor was fun and bone dry today :)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
