I'm looking to buy a setup for TR soloing, preferably a Micro Traxion as the secondary device and either a Camp Lift or an Ushba as the primary.

Not what you requested, but consider two Edelrid Spocs as they are less expensive than the micros. The Ushba works but at high loads can chop the rope. 2 micros/spocs works super well unless you are trying to work a small section (which makes for lots of transitions).

Another not-what-you-asked-for option: Petzl Basic. I have one to sell.

You should consider CT RollnLock. Lighter, cheaper, stronger,  feeds as good or better than micro traction.

Is the price right?

And I'll put my hat in the ring for buying a roll n lock, used microtrax (c'mon I'm not made of money), that ushaba deal looked clean, or the toothed edelrid device, and I could use a grigri.

You get the idea I have ropes not friends

Haha, let me continue the hikjacking--not selling my setup, but I use the Taz Lov with the CT RollNLock on a static 50m x 10mm rope. This combo travels up so smooth & transitions to rap so easily

$54 shipped to your neck of the woods. It's the previous model i.e. the one Petzl suggested for TR solo. They do not support the current Basic for that (as it lacks a 2nd top hole in the frame presumably).

Hi, Mark. Are you opposed to using two microtrax (or Spocs, as Linnaeus suggested)?

Not trying to persuade you, just curious about the reasoning.

I'd rather use two separate device types to minimize the chance of a single failure mode.  I know it's a slim chance, but there have been a few deaths from TR soloing and I would like to make it as safe as possible.

I'm going to buy a Micro Traxion from Jake, still looking for a Camp Lift if anyone has one for sale.
