The New Mammut crag classic is available in 70m but only in Europe. Anyone know how to buy one and have it shipped to the States

Plenty of sites ship. Try Epic TV?

Dunno if this is the “new” rope, but 70m from the US:

Hey Terry! They do have it in stock there, thanks a ton! Have you ordered from this website before? I’m not familiar with it.

They're Legit! Campsaver is their sister company

REI has the non-dry in 70m and the bi-pattern dry in 70m

I just checked and “optics gear” gets terrible reviews for not shipping items.

I have not purchased from this company. Just found it in a search. I did notice that their shipping times are quite long and am guessing they don’t have it on hand, but need to order.

OpticsPlanet is basically CampSaver when it comes to outdoor recreation gear. If you're worried about ordering from them, here's the CampSaver listing instead: https://www.campsaver.com/mammut-9-5-crag-classic-rope.html. It looks like they're owned by a company called Ecentria, which in turn is backed by a big bad Wall Street private equity fund, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.

Opticsplanet has to be the most garbage website to order gear from I’ve ever encountered. They claim in stock then hit you with a six month back order. Waited an entire year for a holster, so just make sure you read any fine print and check the stock status. With that being said, they’re a legit company, and they won’t scam you. But don’t expect anything in a timely manner.

I've ordered from Optics Planet, like the poster above, they only told me that the item was out of stock after I purchased it.  Cancelling was super easy, so points for that. I've always had a good experience with Campsaver.

I've had great experiences buying from the following EU retailers multiple times:

I’ve never had to pay any additional payments above whatever the final checkout price was. I’ve placed probably about 8 total orders among the 3 retailers over the past few years. How that all works out, I have no idea.

I seem to recall them all coming in with DHL, but some could have been USPS. I wouldn’t expect Canada Post to be involved with any of those companies when shipping to the USA.

You'd be right on both fronts!  I am from Canada but living in the USA

I've ordered stuff from Trekkinn before, without issue (although shipping is usually expensive and slow but, that's to be expected.)

Looks like they have some Mammut Crag Classics from 50m to 80m in different diameters. Not sure it's the "new" versions, though.

I would recommend varuste.net, quick shipping from Finland via FedEx and great prices on Petzl and Mammut gear. Looks like REI has that same rope in 70m for $200, not sure what's a better deal after shipping.
