If the MP admins won’t allow posting it maybe start your own site. I think www.shittywetcashiersslabs.com is still available.

there is already an extensive compilation of highlands BS in the works that will be available publicly

Hopefully my little description is enough to help anyone who wants to check it out without needing a designated page on MP. I'm not sure how much adventure can be had there. But, getting on something hard and run out could be adventurous anywhere I guess. Brown Courage no longer has that 1/4" button head. It came out a few years back with one solid pull from the hammer. Even if someone was lucky enough to get there on a dry day, I can't see too many folks coming back there a second time if they have to travel to get there. While I enjoy the style, it's not really the style of climbing that the masses really gravitate towards and it's not that good of a crag relative to all the other ones within a 20 minute drive of it. Either way, with climbing only getting more and more popular, it's only a matter of time. Maybe a proactive approach to the parking issue may help. Maybe it'd be opening a can of worms. I don't know. Some people want it on MP as a big 'Fuck You' to certain local climbers, others want it on here because they think all public climbing should be shared publicly. Either way, with parking being the issue, that should be what is addressed. I don't see the need for adding any pretentious tones to the explanation nor being preachy about it. It seems to be a common theme in the Carolina community to ask a simple question and get a condescending response that stinks of elitism.

brown courage, what a damn appropriate name.

The irony is that the first time I met you it was at Big Rock. I emailed you the topo for the area without any prompting while we were at the cliff. This was before it was even published.

As someone who has spent most of the past year climbing at undocumented places and seeing about 3 other parties during that time; I am a big proponent of the “keep it secret conspiracy.”

I earned nothing.  No topos, no beta; I went out and explored.

The only eliteist thing happening is the privatization of public lands and related information by the fuckin ccc. NOTHING says elitist like “this public cliff is now our domain” litterally no one is here bragging about it, just the desire for knowledge of the space.

Defund the climbing police

Lol oh boy see how this goes!

I mean im sure it wont go that well but there are quite a few people with a similar perspective. I pay taxes to support public lands they are mine and yours.

No doubt! No arguments here bud. I've blasted them in the past myself

You’d have be higher than a damn kite to believe that the CCC is privatizing public lands and being elitist.  Is the CCC perfect? No way, and no one should blindly follow them.  But I’ll wait to hear just one good example of them being elitist.  I am friends with most of the folks on the board, and one is my main partner, and they are nothing but welcoming and freely giving of their time to help climbing in the region.  I’m tired of hearing this gatekeeper bullshit about folks who are anything but that.  Do gatekeepers exist?  Yeah I know some, but its not the CCC.  What have you done to help the region? Do you give your time? Your money? Your precious days off? Are you a rebolter? Do you build trails? What about general crag maintenance?  All of these haters are all bread and no meat.

Amen to that!

IMO, the CCC is the premier regional climbing org in the country right now!
