crack gloves for very small hands

Hi!

seeing my enthusiasm for the thing, my gf is starting to get into crack climbing as well. I always preferred taping, but the latest BD glove convinced me that in "alpine" situations, pre-made gloves are just way more practical.

So, she would also like to buy a pair but her hand circumference is only 17cm, or 6 inches 2/3. On the BD website, this seems too small to get a non-baggy fit on the smallest size. What are the other options out there? Can anyone with such a small hand size chime in?

Cheers

Ocun’s XS gloves are much smaller than the BD XS. My wife is 5’1” with small-for-her-height hands and they fit her perfectly.

I'll second the Ocun glove.  I have the BD and Ocun gloves and run a size larger in the Ocun.  My gf is 5'2" with small hands (#1's are perfect hand jams for her) and found the Ocun size S was maybe a bit too small and bought the M.

I've tried the Ocuns and I just don't like them. I do have the XS BD ones which are very very slightly baggy, but thinner so I actually like them.... More often than not though, I just make a good pair of tape gloves and re-use them until they're trashed.

My hands are wide.75/tight 1s. I am powerful at the Creek.

Same hand size as Amy (wide .75s/tight 1s). I mostly like the OR XS gloves--they fit me well out of the box but eventually start to get a bit baggy with wear. I don't find this creates noticeable issues with jamming, but I have had issues with the stretched out thumb hole clipping into cams/draws, which is...unfortunate. Not sure if this is a general issue with these gloves or specific to small hands.

Ocuns definitely run smaller, but personally, I'm not a fan, mostly because I find them kind of a PITA to put on.

My girlfriend has similar hand size (hand circumference 6.5 inch) and has been happy with the fit of the OR glove in XS and general performance of the glove.  Main complaint is that velcro on the wrist strap is a bit weak and starts to give out over time. No issues with fit though.

Where are you guys located? Last I knew a bunch of retailers had them stocked. I’ve got a pair of BD XS that I haven’t used if you happen to be on the Front Range. I’d let them go pretty cheap if they fit.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
