Selling my Salewa Pro Guide boots, size 41.5 or US Men's 8.5. They've seen about two seasons of use, and have moderate wear on the soles and rands. However, the crampon bails, rands, and uppers are all fully intact and completely functional, and the soles still have a good amount of life (and edge) left. These are super burly boots. They have been waterproofed with wax and have a full GoreTex Insulated Comfort lining. Would be great for pretty much any general mountaineering in the lower 48, warm enough for summer on Rainier, and have the chops for some steeper ice and snow climbing. Full or semi auto crampon compatible with both toe and heel bails.

The party trick with these boots is that they have an adjustable midsole that allows you to convert between fully rigid and semi flexible modes for walking/frontpointing with an allen wrench. I use them 98% of the time in the semi flexible mode, which is still pretty stiff (stiff enough for walking with crampons), but they do firm up quite nicely in climb mode. This allows them to scramble and hike trail much better than something like a Nepal Evo, while still offering more warmth and support for steep climbing than a Trango or other 3 season boot.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that these boots have a wide fit. Great if your feet tend to be too wide for the standard La Sportiva/Scarpa offerings.

Bought for $500, asking $110 + flat rate shipping CONUS or local pickup in Seattle.

Would you say they run "true to size"?

I'm selling salewa crows size 42 if 41.5 is slightly too small for anyone. $100, they don't have the fancy walk mode function, they are just stiff.

My 42s are slightly too small for my women's 9 street shoes feet. So I guess 42 fits women's 8.5/men's 7.5. 41.5 fits women's 8/men's 7. Or maybe mine are factory defect too small.

I would say they run true to size, yes, seeing as I bought my regular shoe size (41.5/8.5M) and they fit very well with room for thicker socks. If you wear a 41.5 approach shoe/regular shoe I think they'll fit quite well. Like I said in the post they're a wide fit, feel very roomy.
