Rock exotica soloist.

   I was just curious if anybody would be interested in a new manufactured soloist.  Considering doing a small batch if there's enough interest. I've been using mine for 25 years and I love her to death!  And I have permission to produce them.  Rifle black will be the color. 

What would you sell them for? Profit? The good of the community?

I may need a new cam someday.  Are you gonna make a few extras of those?

  Actually I would do it at cost if there was interest. I love the history, I know the designer, hell I worked for them when I was in high school.

But I do need an  engineer to draft up the CAD design. Apparently any prints that exist on it are no longer supported by current technology according to Rock. Going to be a limited batch I'm thinking 10 or 20.  I have a machine shop lined up but I need a volunteer engineer.

Know anybody at wren?

Absolutely because that's the hardest part to machine.  It Has to be done by hand. None of them were ever CNC.

I would probably be interested in that. Sounds great. 

If you have for-real drawings, then you don't need an engineer - that work was done decades ago.  You don't need a cad designer, either.  Any machinist with a modicum of competence can take whatever napkin you hand him and program his machines fine, in fact most machinists quickly redraw the prints they are handed into their own software that the CNC machines will read, which might vary widely across a single shop.  The official released drawing is really just a quality / procurement / inspection document.

I have 27 years on mine.  Someone recently asked in another thread if such mileage was a good idea.

I'm a mechanical engineer.  But, I'm not sure you want a thermodynamicist checking this work.

I still have one, but am interested in helping support this if I can. I work in AutoCAD a lot if that would help. I do 2D stuff though, but if it can be useful in anyway, let me know.

I am familiar with several 3D cad programs. I'm not able to actually sign off on the engineering drawings or anything like that, but if you need a Solidworks monkey just to make the model, I'm your guy.
