Anyone want to hit some sustained crack climbs in the Turkey Rock area of SPlatte Sunday? Weather is looking good, around 40 with low wind. I have a double rack through 3, singles through 6. I have climbed a couple times at Turkey Rock, and many times at Vedauwoo. I prefer to lead in the 5.7, 5.8 range, down to follow up to 5.10. My civic won't make it all the way, so high-clearance preferred. But willing to hitch or walk in the last couple miles as well. Looking forward to meeting you, let me know if I can provide any additional info.

Sincerely,

Sam

dood you're gonna freeze your dick off. The road is probably a no go right now too. I'd bet you'd need chains to get in there too.

Hey Carlos,

I had a great weekend out there late January with similar temps in the high 30s and low wind. It is actually plenty warm and comfortable South facing in the sun, I didn't even wear my puffy. It is a lot more comfortable than Vedauwoo at those temperatures. The road needs some pretty good clearance, and preferably a truck with 4WD, but like I said, there are other options if we don't have that. Let me know if you change your mind.
