Found gear at mickeys beach

Already posted this on the lost and found forum, but I figured I’d put something up here too. I found some quick draws that were left behind at mickeys beach yesterday. Let me know some specifics about the draws and which route they were on and I’ll get them back to you.

Were multiple draws left on a hard(ish) route? If so, you might've nabbed someone's project draws. Leaving up a few draws for a day or two is relatively common practice for the area since a lot of the steep routes are annoying to hang draws on and/or clean. Thanks for posting up either way. Hopefully some crusty "abandoned gear hurr durr" old farts chime in to liven up the thread.

Edit: Cosmic palpitations at Mickey's are off the chart right now with the big winter swell and unseasonably good sun. Hit up the coastal vibe palace if you know how to stay six feet apart and are looking to slurp some mercury-laden oysters with the gulls.

Are people leaving project draws up at Mickey's now?  That used to not be a thing there.  More because the salt will just trash your gear than anything I think.

I've seen it and done it myself for a few days at a time. (e.g. Putting up the draws on Saturday and taking them off the proj on Sunday.) Definitely shouldn't be a long term thing if you value your life.

Should be fine as long as you use all titanium draws. I hear Erick from Merlin is going to drop a stashable all-titanium grigri soon.

Posting up from transfer orbit to the coastal vibe palace. I know it’s not in Mickey’s Main, but all the same it’s a groovy name, and the wind’s just right.

That great big boulder down by the coastline looks positively hegemonic!

mickeys: a decent spot to find your self floundering. Are the draws snappy? If so they might be mine ;)

Posting up while filling a wag bag. The vibes down here seem to shake 'em right out of me!

Mystery quick draw leaver has been found. Turns out they were running from the waves

New routes going up and redpoints going down today on the coast. Too much of that fluoride-free natural skrong from Red Rock Spring had the boulderers looking a little woozy, though.

Hah, glad everybody is doing well. Are people actually making titanium quickdraws? Seemed like a bad place to leave them with the oceans presence. Salty draws are no good, I think

Just quit climbing so I can bronze it with the hippies at red rocks full time

A major loss to the community. That pale hog was made for climbing! How hard is it to be a 5.14 level bottomless frisbee player?

Not easy. You have to risk skin cancer in places which seldom see the light of day

Not yet. New business proposition.... Great Pacific Iron Works, but with an inert atmosphere so you can make every possible type of climbing gear out of titanium, soviet mountaineer-style.

Sounds like a good 'loss money fast' idea

Posting up now that the biblical flood has receded: a messenger of Good Vibes visited us at the palace today.
