Bonita Fire Near Idyllwild in Mountain Center

The only access to Idyllwild is via Banning from the 10 to 243 N.

I would advise another place to climb this weekend.

i noticed it smelled smokey yesterday and my wife said there was a new fire towards mount baldy.  looks like this bonita fire is a separate fire.  ughhh...

Separate fire. But luckily it’s burning toward an established burn scar from the Cranston Fire so it may shake out ok

Road closures lifted except from Lake Hemet. Not City of Hemet.
