Hello MP frequenters,

I am looking to sell my alpine draws and litewire carabiners. For $70 plus shipping you can be the proud owner of 4 alpine draws (8 black litewire carabiners and 4 dynex 60cm slings) and an additional 4 grey litewire carabiners. Willing to sell just the alpine draws for $55 plus shipping. Each alpine draw would retail at around $24 for price reference. All of this gear was bought new this season and therefore only has a season of use. Local pick up in southwest Utah or buyer pays shipping. Fine with Venmo, PayPal, etc.

Finding 25% off is easy. I'm most confident that I could get this stuff brand new for less than what it would take for you to ship it to me. Not being an ass. I just don't think you'll get what you are asking.

I hope you’re not as confident in your arithmetic as you are in your ability to find good deals as the alpines I’m selling are more than 40% off the retail price so I’m not quite sure how you equated the discount to be 25%. Not being an ass. I just don’t think you have any idea what you’re talking about.

Not sure where you're getting ripped off because you are getting terrible deals sir. Use active junky for more discounts.

I bought the nano 22 version of what you have two weeks ago for $85 shipped to my door. Was at my door 2 days after I ordered it. A retailer will give me brand new gear, too. Unlike your used slings and biners

Through you, I would pay the same amount, and USPS would deliver it like 15 days from now(I currently have two packages in the mail that have been there for over this long)

If I want them in a timely manner, I would have to pay you extra and still probably get them slower than through a retailer using fedex.

Just giving you free advice since you keep reposting these

I can attest you can by these new at this price. $45 is a fair price for the alpines.

Erik, I am sorry to have quarreled with you over the internet. I did not realize that I was engaging with someone who probably struggles to comprehend the directions for microwaving a hot pocket, let alone being able to understand the intricacies of buying and selling gear online. If you, personally, ever are able to purchase new Black Diamond climbing gear at a greater discount than what was previously referenced then PM and I will send you a heartfelt apology that will pull on your heart strings to the extent that you won’t be able to help but ball your eyes out.

I’m not quite sure why you’re referencing buying the “nano 22 version” of what I have (they’re called the mach express dyneema alpine draws btw if you’re looking for some genuine education on climbing gear) but if you purchased 4 alpines (you also failed to reference how many you bought but I’ll assume you bought the 4 pack) at $85 shipped I fail to see how that beats my $55 offer for my four alpines. Are you anticipating paying $30 in shipping? Shipping flat rate is around $10 bud. Just sent a dozen quick draws to a guy in California a couple weeks back and it was $10 and change to ship and he got them in 4 days. Would have gotten them sooner but I sent them out on a Friday.

We’re on mountain project bud. I’m not a dealer and everyone on here (besides yourself perhaps) is aware that they are on here to buy used gear, so if you are in the market for new gear you came to the wrong place.

Hopefully this conversation makes you realize you should maybe put a little more careful thinking into your MP gear sale trolling, but I for one have enjoyed our back and forth for whatever reason and if you want me to continue to break down your idiotic thought processes feel free to leave another comment. In the meantime you can confirm with some one other than myself that 25% does not equal 40% and $55 is not more expensive than $85. Good luck to you on your journey and remember that arithmetic is a useful skill set to hone.

Are you a Black Diamond sales rep sir? By all means provide us with a link for a place to purchase them brand new at set price. Also you buy things, not sure how you by things. Spelling, like math, is another useful skill. Hopefully your arithmetic is better than Erik’s or you might not have much going for ya buddy.

About 50-52.

Plus shipping, no tax.

Not an offer, just added commentary. May have to move this to the politics forum.

So are you saying I should lower my asking price by $3 and perhaps I’ll get a genuine offer?

Again, you get terrible deals sir.

My girlfriend works at REI, and stuff occasionally goes on "super pro deal". I deleted the details on the situation, just know that you are super wrong that pro deals only go to 32% off. And that is common knowledge.

Also, you're giving that guy a hard time over your price being close to what he suggested; but you didn't mention that you lowered the original asking price by $10 you pretentious jerk face lol.

Erik please remove the information about Prodeal pricing I know friends in the industry and they are instructed not to share that pricing broadly IE on a public Internet forum.

Zach, I’d advise removing your negative rhetoric as it could deter a potential buyer.

Happy Holidays to all!

I got rid of the specific details on how much they can get discounted for ya. I really disagree that it is to be kept private, though. Seems like corporations just trying to hide how much they upcharge their products.

I for one have absolutely enjoyed the evolution of this thread. Cheers everyone. I think the lesson to take away here is gear on MP is someone’s personal gear and the value of such gear is dictated by said seller. If buyer doesn’t like price then said buyer can scamper off to another retailer/seller in which they like the price that the goods are offered and purchase there. Nobody appreciates a troll unless they sing catchy songs and encourage diversity. In addition I would like to tip my hat to the seller for good sportsmanship and the person who encouraged pro deal info be kept of the forum.

Also I just bought this gear because it indeed is a good asking price and supports a member of our community. Let’s not forget that this is why we have a community.

This isn't shopping at Walmart versus target. Haggling and bartering have been long time alternate solutions to what you are suggesting. This shows by the fact that his price has dropped $15 from what he originally asked.

Glad you bought em. Seems like by me mentioning the pricing ended up helping him get his gear sold after all. Even if it was just by clout. Helping him sell them is why I posted in the first place, so heck yeah, buddy.
