Webbing on webbing basket hitch

All thoughts, concerns, opinions and  public ridicule welcome regarding using a runner to basket hitch the tricam in order to extend the biner over the edge.


The tricam is part of a 3 pc anchor.

Trust it more than the placement. 

Fewer parts to go wrong if you leave out the biner too.

Yes. Use a basket hitch.... seems like you already know what you need to know.

I've heard/read somewhere that YGD if you have a webbing on webbing situation.

Why not hitch the rope to the tricam sling directly?

With that (incorrect) understanding my question was why not take off the carabiner and girth hitch that loop directly to the sling on the tri-cam, through where the carabiner had been

Not sure what you're incorrect about...that is totally possible with the setup as pictured.
