I'm starting a petition to annex the bay area as a part of Tahoe, as I'm from The Bay but climb in Tahoe every weekend and I'm tired of being the downtrodden. We're not all that different you know, both of us live near water, and in California. There are trees in both Tahoe and the Bay, which is kinda crazy because nowhere else can say that. Also, the tech industry in Tahoe is absolutely booming (some say it is the new Boulder, CO), and Silicon Valley is also known for its tech to a lesser degree. Plus, Tahoe and The Bay both start with a T, so they're basically the same. The Bay area has bridges, and in the Early 1960's there was a proposal to put a large bridge over the mouth of Emerald Bay, I really think y'all should go through with that. I have to drive a long way to get to Tahoe anyway, so I'd like to have a large freeway going around the lake, mostly so I can get more of my bay area friends to climb with me. Plus, I think it would be great for the aesthetic beauty of Tahoe. I think everywhere should be as pretty as the Valley. Nothing appeals to me more than dirty freeways, litter, construction, and mid-rise buildings. This could be a great step to keep Lake Tahoe Grey. Thoughts? |

Guys let's just take the good boulders and hide them. I'll rent the backhoe if someone wants to scout a good spot to hide the goods. Perhaps an abandoned walmart? |

Why don't you just start acting like people at surf breaks and beat up the non locals? Not really serious however it is better than making passive aggressive posts on MP and being a keyboard warrior. What you are doing is literally drawing MORE interest to the area than if you just kept your mouth shut. |

Everyone raise your hands if you were born in the city you currently live in. Keep your hands up if both your parents were born there too. Nobody? |

Colonel Mustardwrote: Unfortunately, a tech bro from the valley came to Tahoe and as he gazed upon the mountains, the rocks grew legs and moved to the Bay Area after realizing their grey coloration would be more at home in an urban environment. Now that they're out of the mountains, I'm going to post them up on MP so, it isn't a total loss! |
