Devil's lake partner/mentor

Hello Midwest climbers. My name is Jason King and I'm from Rockford IL, 42 years old and I caught the climbing sickness fairly late in life. I am looking for people to climb with at devil's lake on July 27th,28th,29th.also I'll be camping there on August 5th,6th and half day on the 7th. I Started climbing because my daughter wanted to go-to a climbing gym and at the time, I didn't really think that it would develop into this obsession. As I found out fairly quickly, there is more to this sport than just climbing a rock and hanging/rappelling fr ropes....this is physical chess! As a young man I did motocross,hare scrambles, and even rode street bikes, but as I got older and mortality got more real, and cell phones have polluted our drivers, I decided to stop riding for awhile. I have not been able to find that adrenaline rush since.....until now. During my midlife crisis (haha), instead of buying a sports car or another streebike, I decided to buy climbing gear(rope,belay devices, harnesses, carabineers,slings, and more) in which I don't exactly know how to use.my daughter and I have climbed at devil's lake with a guide and at a bouldering gym, so I'm fairly green. I started this weighing 205# and I am now weighing in at 145#(like I said..... obsessed). I mention this because I have worked very hard to achieve this goal and want that to reflect on how I'll work at the crag to achieve my goal of learning how to climb trad and be able to pass this to my daughter's. I can be at the lake at first light(or earlier) and feel like I could climb until sundown (depending on how much we hike throughout the day). If anyone even interested in letting me tag along(I'm pretty quiet guy) as to observe and your not interested in a partner that would also be Greatly appreciated.

Hi Jason! Although it seems you're interested in a more experienced mentor, and you were only asking for the end of July and early August, I figured I'd let you know that I'm also just beginning to climb and live in Madison. If you find yourself looking for a partner in southern Wisconsin again and you're ok with that person being very inexperienced, I'd be happy to climb with you basically any day, usually very little prior notice required, and the same goes for anyone else reading this. 7153100592.
