Flex bars for crampons

Has anyone used the flex bars that various crampon vendors sell? I was looking to swap it over to be used with an approach shoe for some late summer climbs.

I use Grivel Flex bars on my G12s when using a more flexible boot such as the Salewa Crow, or Scarpa Zodiac Tech. They work well, and the crampon stays securely attached to the boot.
