Owens River Gorge is closed to public access August 3-9, 2020.  During this time, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (the land owner) will be releasing high flows between the Upper Gorge Power  Plant and Pleasant Valley to improve fishery condition and wildlife habitat.  Quoting LADWP's press release, "High water levels with strong currents pose potential safety hazards that could result in personal injury and property damage.  Please adhere to posted signs."
