Headed to Grand Junction to visit my parents for a couple days and am unable to fit my rack in my bag. Would anybody be willing to let me borrow a small single rack up to #4 for a quick romp up Independence Monument on Monday? I have everything else I need. Thanks! Christopher

I totally would if I were in town. Honestly, P1 is 5.6 and doesn’t have any moves that you can fall out of, and a ring pin protects the one exposed section. P2 protects with a single #3 or #4, but if you know where the Otto jug is, it’s not necessary. I normally do the route with six draws and nothing else.
Yeah I did it with a bunch of draws and a rack of tricams from .5-2.5. You're pretty well protected with that if you're comfortable at the grade. The only dead-point you might have to do is on the last pitch but you've got a couple of clipped pins so it's not too bad.
Yes, I’ve done the route 3 or 4 times before. Taking a newbie and would feel more comfortable with at least a #4 for pitch 2, and a couple pieces for pitch 1. Generally only use draws on pitch 3, and extendable draws for pitch 4 with the pins (which I didn’t bring any slings either, only quickdraws).
