I assume it's from an impromptu divorce on the wall?

Sort of a fun story about lost rings at a crag:

Was with my then-fiance (now-ex-wife, ugh) at a crag near Spokane, Washington (we lived in Montana). She took off her engagement ring to climb ... and left it at the base of the wall ... only to realize it four hours and 300 miles later.

Long story short, she was able to coerce a remote co-worker to drive two hours to put up lost posters.

Three weeks later we got a call from some girl with the ring.

We sent her $50.

She (according to a text) took her friends out for pizza.

Still ended in divorce. The divorce may or may not have been over climbing, ostensibly.

Is it a turquoise turtle ring?

Does it have some elvish inscriptions on it? You will have to throw it in a fire for them to be visible.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
