Rumor has it... The vampire

Rumor has it the first pitch of the vampire, the bat crack, is going to be shut down due to coronavirus...

Can anyone confirm this? I was hoping to jump on the route next week.

They've actually closed all of the vampire for people named Danny specifically to prevent chuffing.

Per a local climber who lives in Idyllwild, I was told the road to Humber Park has been closed by the County, so by default the whole of The Vampire and the Bat Crack are CLOSED.

Humber parking had a good amount of cars by 10 AM this morning. Saw a guy do the mantle today too. I was off Tahquitz around 1:30 PM. Cars going freely to and from Humber...

Edit: Town was packed too all weekend

He took a nice little whipper of the mantle, too.  I have heard that it's a bad fall but he protected it well and didn't hit anything on the way down.  He got it the second time.

the vampire was great, super early Friday morning... quiet, cool, and fairly sticky for warm days...

The tourons will never damper my parade.  They are so predictable.  The sun rises early, and the rock is cool. Super funny watching the parade drive up as I'm driving down by 9:30am...

Good yes!!! Been out of town for a couple of months but will be back as I have some unfinished business on z stone!!!

Ahh yes the tourons, in a wierd way I miss watching the trough TV!! What a shit show!!
