The only thing the media is an expert in is propaganda. They kick ass at that all day, every day. Just watch Michael Moore's new film. It exposes a lot of bs that should have been obvious to anyone that consistently questions authority. Al Gore, the fkn king of bs. Like he would ever try to help the planet without knowing he was going to make a fortune.

Just here to say this is wildly inaccurate and many people are recreating responsibly in NYC parks. But, stay home.

Yeah, I guess I didn't say that clearly, but what I means is that people are able to recreate responsibly in NYC parks because other people are staying home. Nothing wrong with that--I'm just saying that some people have to stay home for this to work.

I lived next to Prospect Park for about 3.5 years. There are parts of the park where you can get away from people, for sure, but any of the entrances on the North or East sides of the park would be clogged with foot traffic when I lived there. The entrances are right next to train stations.

I had no desire to go back to the city before the pandemic; I'd be even less likely to go back now.

Other Other wrot
And short of the dire models coming true, people are still ignoring other diseases. Other diseases are not on holiday. They’re real and they exist. I find it similar to the HIV panic of the 80s and 90s. Lots of other diseases killed more people.

You were doing rather well, until you decided to bring back one of the dumbest comparison in existence between covids and [insert here irrelevent comparison with stuff that don't grow exponentially in practice]

Some people just refuse to learn about exponents and logarithms.

Obviously you have a need to communicate, without being deleted. I like this strategy.

  • I'm so glad I vetoed my wife wanting to buy a (too big for me anyway) second home in Rumney last year.  Talk about dodging a bullet.  Part of the thinking was that we could always air B and B it.....right.  who the hell is doing that now?  50% off is when I START  buying stocks and real estate Iknowing that it could go lower.  However, it mght never get there as the fed is pumping TRILLIONS out of thin air. I'm ok with cash and no debt

My gut feeling is that for every AirBnB "superhost" going underwater, there's a bottom feeder just waiting to jump in. One door closes... right?

Maybe it's time to send this one over to general discussions. A Northeastern thread topic has now been relegated to real estate speculation in F'ing California.

I thought this was the Zillow forum!

Is everything you write this idiotic?  Or is this a special day even for you?

Some people are still renting out their Airbnbs.

Thats great people are staying close and not heading too far north now as much, its much appreciated by New England.

Our local laws only allow vacation rentals to essentials, soon that will change back but a two week quarantine will be required
