Tahquitz rescue today?

Saw three sheriffs heading up to Humber Park today.. Shortly afterward saw a helicopter circling Tahquitz Rock. Anybody know anything?

Chopper made a fly by of Tahquitz yesterday too. Buzzed around and booked it due west along the South Ridge. Sheriffs and CHP have been patrolling Idy a bit more regularly this week as well. Probably nothing.

That seems like a hell of a waste of money and risk to use a helicopter for patrols when they could use a drone, etc

I've seen NFS drones up there over the years.

But there is so much more going on than just Tahquitz and Suicide climbing in idyllwild area. Choppers buzzing the area is not uncommon.
