Saw all the SAR resources and the helicopter being mobilized. A damn shame. Feel terrible for the deceased, family & friends, and his climbing partner.

Anyone heard any updates on this accident? Who it was? Who their climbing partner was, any assessments of the accident beyond that a hold broke on an FA in BCC.

The linked article above was updated with his name. "Unified Police identified the man as 29-year-old Wade Joseph Meade of Park City. "

This is unreal.
Wade was a good friend and a great person. And the person who taught me how to place gear.

Wade was one of the best out there, and not just a climber but one of the most amazing people I think I will ever meet. He took me climbing for one of my first times ever and taught me to aid climb years later. I would have loved to have the chance to do half the things we had talked about getting after. On another note, the reports that are going around saying he fell 15ft. are incorrect; of what I was told by his brother it was more like 50.
I can’t believe you’re gone Wade. Love you Beard
