Hello!
I’m new to mountaineering/ ice climbing and I’m looking for a good pair of crampons. I’ve been looking into offerings from both Grivel and Petzl, Id like something that is fairly versatile to different boots, but also is durable and good for general mountaineering, as well as easier to moderate ice routes.

thanks!

I started with Petzl Sarkens a long time ago and used them for 10 years or so. It's a good intro crampon at not too bad of a price. Petzl Lynx would also be on my short list but is more expensive without offering much more for a new climber.

Look intomthe snaggletooth.  That bd mono diamond point thing.  Great for moderate ice and good for glaciers.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
