Kansas City Crack
|
|
Does anyone know of a crack to practice on (can be any length) at either an indoor gym or outside (i.e. cliff drive) in the Kansas City area? We have an outdoor trip planned to the desert in a few weeks and want to get at least some jamming in prior to leaving. I don't think we will have time to go to Arkansas beforehand, although obviously that would probably be the best option. I have also heard there may be some bouldery-urban hand cracks in a parking garage somewhere. |

Build one! You can make a simple crack machine easily and get tons of practice out of it. Lots of threads on how to build one as well. |

If you're in college, "addicted to crack" theme parties are quite fun. Don't give context, just build a crack with 2x6s and 2x4 spacers (measured to your preferred size), and watch climb team gumbies flail away. |

I forget the name but there's a slightly overhanging offwidth boulder in the schoolroom area of Swope Park. |

East Wall, 3rd Floor? , of the Mississippi Street parking garage attached to the KU student Union. Roof cracks that are hand sized. If my memory serves me right, go to parking spot 3029 and look up. |
