I guess all dates in the EIR have been delayed by a few years.
maps on page 3.0-9  to  3.0-21   and  3.0-37
recreation summarized on 8.0-29
Much of Sierra Ave will be moved further east.  No homes will be on the east side of the new Sierra near the main cliff.
A park will be built along the east side of Sierra.
Some homes will be between the old Sierra and the new Sierra.
Most homes will be to the north and south of that central area.
Mitigation from potential rock fall is discussed in several places, including building catch basins.
Each of the three phases includes a several month period of blasting.

photo is pretty much what Tom Described. Moving Sierra Drive more east, building homes west of the road. and north and south of the quarry proper. 2nd photo is a concept of what the park will look like near the quarry. For reference, I believe the quarry is on the left side of the park. A friend who went to one of the city meetings stated, people were throwing ideas of having large lights facing the wall. That would be awesome for some night time climbing

It looks like there will not be enough parking.  One little league or AYSO game is going to fill that small lot.  Also, the BASE jumpers are going to have to be really careful about where they land.

Just park on the road like what has always been done. This time the road will be even closer to the wall

I predict that those homes will never be built.
A 59 ton boulder falling 175 feet could potentially roll for a 1/4 mile... and squash a few homes.
This is all some developers fantasy. I could see some sort of recreational center. But not people living their.

I have driven by and construction is going full speed. The homes north side of the quarry have already been graded and sectioned off. There are over 2 dozen bulldozer and other very large heavy equipment machines on site. The entire perimeter is fenced off. The potential homes on the north side has the streets already graded with a large wash out on the side. It's also surrounded by all the large rocks they pushed so all the off roaders/wheelers can't get to them.

It was also stated earlier that a large catch basin around the area will be used for potential rock fall. No homes will be built near potential fall zone from what the plans show

So , I was there last weekend and there were a couple of chaps climbing. Has anyone climbed there and had any trouble? used to climb here about 7 years ago...

Good for them for climbing. The local organizations have made zero effort to open this place. I was fed a line of BS, by one of local presidents two years ago. If we don’t climb there now the place will never be open. Advocacy has not even been implemented. Louie deserved a stipend for all the sweet routes & labor he put in at Riverside.

They are building homes- I was wrong.

Jens 1 .... Don’t hold your breath waiting for the Access Fund to help- they have no interest in anything California.

Tom... so climbers are climbing. Knott surprised at all. Can you get to the stone without crossing the construction site?

So I drove by yesterday, and sent the drone up to get a lay of the land. As you can see, new roads have been put in, and houses will soon follow. The plans for the park don't seem to have materialized yet, but I am guessing that would go where all the trucks are still parked.

There is an open grassy field between the wall and construction, so it looks like you can get to the wall without crossing construction zone. I did see climbers on Tangerine Dream.

There are still several fences, gates on the road, and some signs saying not to trespass, but part of the development (off to the left side of the wall) had no such signs.

Yes, no fences!

Any update from people that have climbed there recently?
