Michigan Ice Fest 2020 Feb 12-16th

The Michigan Ice Fest will take place Feb 12-16 2020 in Munising Michigan. Clinics, presentations and unbelievable climbing above Lake Superior. Featured presenters include Conrad Anker, Steve House, Graham Zimmerman, Nikki Smith, Sam Elias, Paul McSorley and more!

In conjunction with Michigan Ice Fest's midwest tour stop, Adventure Rock MKE is having an Ice/Mixed night for the second year in a row! The event is Wednesday Dec 4th, 6:30-9pm. Stop in and say hi to Bill and chat about the fest as well as take a spin on the dry tooling routes set up. Planning for about 3-4 routes set up. BYO tools and helmets or come use ours. For those interested, there will be a short presentation by USA Ice Climbing about local and international comp climbing and how to get involved or where to watch. It's free to come chat, hangout, and watch, $10 if you'd like to participate and climb (proceeds are a donation to USA Ice Climbing for use of the holds and equipment and to support the athletes and organization).

couple questions
suggestions for lodging? considering a box truck or RV at the moment, need to maintain my dirt bag status cant be too fancy.
is renting a snowmobile to drive to da craig a thing? or would it greatly enable back country accesss?

Free tent camping is allowed at Bay Furnace Campground 5 minutes from town. Across the street is the casino and they allow car/truck camping in their parking lot.  Pro Dirtbag Tip- there are free showers at the Community Center where our headquarters is located.  Only reason to rent a sled is if there is lake ice out to Grand Island.....if so you could make a lot of cash (and friends) buy shuttling folks out there!  See "yall" soon!
