I know that they had extra webbing because they tried to setup a hammock by slinging some bolders and failed. The best part was that they were trying to get each other to do doing bat hangs on this route that is called Surprising Slab. And laughing at the scary anchor they set by slinging a boulder that moved.
No way Julian, WI ALWAYS has worse anchors. Plus, The Climbing Illuminati dictated that this thread can only have Devil's Lake anchors, no other anchors are allowed.

That boulder’s a bit small. However, I’m in favor of avoiding trees when they can be avoided for reducing the impact.

Yum, bolted anchors. Now that'd be nice at the Lake.

The beautiful weather at the Lake this past Saturday brought out all the gumbies! Saw this cluster near the top of The Spine on the East Rampart. The trees may be only three inches in diameter, but at least they padded the "sharp" edge!

Hard to see wtf is going on with that webbing though.

Wow, that is not so good...but there is no rope running through the biners, so maybe it was put up as a joke.

Felt odd saying something but once they weighted the rope I decided it was easiest to just look the other way.

I’d say it’s worth the trip if you happen to be in the area, but definitely not a “destination” trip lol.

Yes please stay away from DL. Definitely not a destination. Go stand in line at the Red, boulder canyon, or Red Rocks.

Just to be clear, I was suggesting a road trip just to set up bad TR anchors, not necessarily to climb. Why wouldn't we welcome Robert to set anchors?
