Does anyone know how to get discounts on camping fees in the park? |

Yes I do. |

Access Pass gets you a discount. |

Access Pass is for individuals with permanent disabilities. Senior pass is for folks over 62. If you don't fall into one of those categories you are paying full price at the campground. Or you can make friends with someone and split the cost of a site. |

There are places you can camp for free but they're not that close to the loop road. Also, please note, cat in the hat is closed for renovations. |

Its Federal land, why wouldn't the interagency pass work? |

Interagency passes don't give discounts on camping- they are for park entrances and parking fees. |

From my memory that campground is the WORST campground anywhere. |
